All food served is prepared daily on the premises by our skilled caterers using finest fresh local ingredients.  As well as a wide range of snacks; here are a few examples of what you might expect to find on offer:

 

Deep Fried Whitby Cod

A whale of a fish cooked in a light and crispy batter served with handcut chips and garden or mushy peas

 

Salmon & Prawn Quiche

Fresh salmon and prawns baked in a delicious pastry case and served with a variety of salads

 

Chicken & Leek Pie

Tender breast of chicken in a creamy leek sauce baked in a rich shortcrust pastry

 

Savoury Beef & Yorkshire Pud

Large yorkshire pudding filled with minced beef and served with cheddar mash

 

Beef Stroganoff

Tender strips of beef cooked in cream and mushrooms served on a bed of rice

 

Chicken a la Funghi

Chicken pan fried in wine and cream served with pasta and garlic bread

 

Succulent Pork Chop

Baked with cherry tomatoes, garlic and red onions

 

Esk Salmon Fishcakes

Served in a crisp breadcrumb coating and lemon sauce

 

Whitby Crab and Prawns

Mouth-watering locally caught shellfish served with a full salad

 

Coffee & Walnut Gateaux

A light coffee flavoured sponge with walnuts, sandwiched with a coffee vanilla cream

 

Rhubarb Crumble

Rhubarb fresh from the garden, topped with a sweet crumble and served warm with cream or ice-cream

 

Cookie Dream

Crushed cookies served with vanilla and chocolate ice-cream drizzled in cream and chocolate sauce covered with dark chocolate flakes

 

Apricot Cheesecake

Made to our own family recipe served with cream or ice-cream

 

Iced Ginger Cream

Crushed meringues frozen into cream and ginger

 

Coconut Sponge & Custard

Light sponge served with custard, drizzled in a strawberry sauce and topped with toasted coconut

 

Banana Cinders

Sliced bananas served with vanilla ice-cream and cream, a banoffe sauce and crushed cinder toffee

 

Cream Trifle

A jam sponge base with a medley of fruit, covered with vanilla custard and a pinnacle of cream

 

Fruits of  the Forest Crumble
